So I have had Dark Souls 2 for a week and I had forgotten how punishing the game can be. Yep I have come to the realisation that I just like to get punished. For some reason no matter how many controller throwing impulses the game makes me feels, I still keep coming back. It is also down to the fact that most of your deaths are caused by “you” the player and cannot be blamed on the game itself. This is probably why so many people get annoyed at it, but it is also why I think people love it. Its all about correcting your mistakes. If anything this game has taught me patience…massive amounts of patience, and when you understand that, it gets a little easier. In fact, most of my stupid deaths have been down to lack of patience. For example when, I wanted to just run past a group of enemies quickly, or thought I could get away with another sword swing and ended up getting a spear in the face for it. Anyway, this post was inspired by what I read today on the site Kotaku, so feel free to check it out. Here is the link: http://www.kotaku.co.uk/2014/04/30/dark-souls-2-told-steam-reviews funny stuff!
